TRAINING COURSE POSTPONED
RADON GAS - DETECTION, LEGISLATION & TREATMENT TRAINING COURSE

This seminar has been arranged by The Radon Council which is the only non-profit making regulatory body for the radon industry. It is an ideal opportunity for organisations and individuals on the 2017 list to comply with the requirements of our Code of Practice and contractor listing :- “It is a condition that Members and Contractors appearing on the “List of Contractors, Suppliers and Consultants....", adhere to our Code of Practice and in accordance with the Contract Note/Application agreement …. must attend and pass the Council's Training Course within 12 months of appearing on the List.”
This all day session is aimed specifically at training architects, builders, surveyors, estate agents and other professionals giving advice, undertaking or specifying works to clients whose properties new, or old are, or could be affected by elevated levels of radon and will also be of interest to lending institutions, solicitors and others involved in conveyancing work. This course includes lectures on all aspects of radon remediation, including existing and new-build and also includes a lecture on the practical aspects of laying a successful radon membrane/barrier. The overall objective is to raise public and professional awareness about radon and its hazard to health in both the home and workplace we hope that you will find our comprehensive Radon Manual (free to all candidates) of assistance.
There will be a short (optional 75 minute) examination at the end of the day and a certificate which attracts CPD points will be awarded to all successful candidates. Successful completion of the examination allows organisations / individuals etc. to be considered for inclusion in the Radon Council approved list.
