Terry Spencer

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Terry Spencer, who died earlier this year.

Terry was a Director of WBC (Wellingborough Building Company) Limited Radoncheck, where he played a key role in developing the business into a respected specialist provider of radon testing and remediation services. Through his work, Terry made a significant contribution to improving awareness of radon risks and to raising standards of environmental safety within the built environment.

Terry also gave nearly 20 years of dedicated service as a Director of The Radon Council, during which time he was widely admired for his enthusiasm, integrity, and sound judgement. He brought a calm, practical approach to Board discussions and was deeply committed to strengthening professionalism, competence, and best practice across the radon protection industry. His contribution helped shape the direction and credibility of The Radon Council.

Those who worked alongside Terry at The Radon Council remember him for his technical knowledge, industry insight, willingness to share experience and as an advocate for continual improvement.

Terry’s passing represents a significant loss to the radon and building safety community. He will be remembered with great respect and gratitude for his long-standing service and contribution to the industry. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and colleagues at this difficult time.

Course booking Terms and Conditions

  1. All course fees are payable in full at time of reservation unless agreed otherwise.
  2. A refund of 60% of the amount paid will be made in the event of receipt of written cancellation at least FOUR weeks prior to the date of the course. No refund can be made on cancellation thereafter.
  3. If a candidate cannot attend the course on the agreed date, the candidate may be able to attend the next identical course. If they miss this next identical course, they cannot attend another without the payment of course fees. 
  4. Substitution of delegates (from the same company/firm) can be made at any time prior to the start of the course.
  5. In the event that a course is oversubscribed, The Radon Council reserves the right to place candidates on the course as the course fee is paid. When the course is full, the remaining candidates will be moved to the next suitable course. 
  6. All course documentation is provided solely for the private training and study purposes of individual delegates. Copyright is reserved on all material prepared and provided by The Radon Council.
  7. The Radon Council reserves the right to make any alterations to course arrangements necessitated by circumstances beyond its control.
